- Accumulator
- A bet that links two or more selections, and all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to a team to remove the draw option, expressed in whole or half goals.
- Bankroll Management
- The practice of deciding how much money to risk on bets to avoid running out of funds.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that lets you combine different markets from a single match into one custom bet.
- Bet Slip
- The digital list on a betting site that records the selections you intend to place a wager on.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, either locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes of a match, increasing your chance of winning.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that returns your stake if the match ends in a draw, otherwise pays out on the winning team.
- Each Way
- A two-part bet where you back a team to win and also to finish in a paid place, each with its own stake.
- First Goalscorer
- A market where you predict which player will score the first goal in the match.
- Goal Line
- A line set by the bookmaker for the total number of goals in a match, similar to Over/Under but often with whole or half-goal increments.
- Half Time/Full Time
- A bet that predicts both the result at half-time and the final result of a match.
- Handicap Betting
- A bet that gives one team a virtual advantage or disadvantage to balance the perceived difference in ability.
- In-play Betting
- Bets placed after the match has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker adds to the odds, usually reflected as a small percentage.
- Matched Betting
- A technique that uses free bets and promotions to create a risk-free profit by covering all outcomes.
- Odds Format
- The way odds are displayed, such as decimal, fractional, or moneyline, each showing potential payout differently.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals scored in a match will be above or below a set figure.
- Price Boost
- A special increase in odds for a specific selection, offered by the bookmaker as a promotion.
- Push
- A tie result where the bet is refunded because the outcome matches the exact line set by the bookmaker.
- Roll Over
- A requirement to bet the amount of a bonus a certain number of times before you can withdraw any winnings.
- Stake
- The amount of money you place on a bet.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, suggesting an edge.
- Void
- A bet that is cancelled and all money returned, usually because the event was postponed or the market was not offered.
